Lion's Paw Shell (comes in its RAW form) is often seen as the seat or carriage of many an ocean deity. Poseidon is depicted riding upon one, and Aphrodite floats to shore in a Lion's Paw shell. The Lion's Paw appears on Pagan altars as a symbol of the sea goddess and the element of Water. A Lion's Paw shell is often used as a chalice, offering bowl, or vessel for love magic. It is distinguished from other shells by the multiple rays and ridges, converging on a single point near the base. To some this represented the varied paths of travelers on their way to a holy site. To others, the rays may have resembled the Sun’s beams converging on the horizon at sunrise or sunset. This makes the Lion's Paw Shell an especially fitting symbol of Venus, who is called the Morning Star or Evening Star.
Charcoal is provided to burn your resins on. To save your charcoal, we recommend you break one of the disks into 4 pieces and burn that way.
Smudges:
Blue Sage Smudge (4 inche) is a close relative of white sage and also good for healing and cleansing rituals. Its soothing, relaxing smell can be used to aid meditation, or burned simply for enjoyment. It’s not as pungent as White Sage, and is more agreeable to some folks who find the strong, bracing scent of White Sage overpowering.

White Sage (9 inch) is the bread and butter of any smudging kit. Versatile and effective, it’s suitable for most any smudging ritual—cleansing, healing, protection, meditation, and so on. When mixed with other herbs, it makes a wonderful base for a custom smudging blend.
Desert Sage Smudge (9 inch) has a warm herbaceous aroma that is a bit peppery (think Bay leaves or Mint tea). It is used for cleansing and purifying, protection, and inner strength. It is said to bring pleasant thoughts and relieve headaches and anxiety.
Palo Santo Smudge Stick (1) (or “Holy Wood”) is a sweet-smelling tropical wood that is a natural incense. Palo Santo is said to clear out negative spirits and energies, increase relaxation, and bring joy and harmony to the home. It is in the family of trees that produces Frankincense and Myrrh, but is native only to Ecuador, Peru, and the Galapagos Islands. Its aroma is smooth, aromatic and spicy.
Peruvians harvest fallen branches and twigs of the B. graveolens tree, a practice that is regulated by the government of Peru, so trees are not cut for wood harvesting.
